Meet the Tutor

My name is Joseph James O'Gorman, I trained as professional Actor and Singer. My training began with the RADA Youth Company and National Youth Theatre, which gave me the foundations to my acting career. I also completed an intensive course at the London School of Musical Theatre, culminating in a diploma award.

I have recently completed my LTCL Teaching in Speech & Drama, Level 6 Diploma with Trinity College London. I have been teaching the LAMDA Syllabus, and helping those wanting to become actors themselves since 2018. I specialise in Shakespearean and Classical Texts, as well as voice & speech production, after receiving extensive vocal training, and how to speak with clarity and conviction.

Tom Brown's School Days - The Union Theatre, London

A Midsummer Nights Dream - Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford

Alongside Studio Two, I also teach LAMDA to amazing students at BLAG Youth Theatre, Rickmansworth in group classes and RM Drama, London.

More recently, I have produced, written and recorded my own music under the name 'Joseph James', which has had previous support from BBC Introducing and music publications such as Clash Magazine and Earmilk. I release music regularly and continue to play gigs around London and regional areas.

I love all aspects of this industry, even with it's challenges, and I want to inspire young people to follow their dreams, and offer them the support they need as a teacher and mentor.
